About Taria
Modern country with a traditional flare. Taria Lee’s music is fun, sincere, heartfelt and meaningful.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Taria Lee is taking the country music world by storm. In her latest release, “Unfall” describes the anxieties that come with a new romantic relationship. It’s a scary, exciting and overwhelming whirlwind of emotions. The single follows the 2016 release of her sophomore EP, Roads.
But Taria’s musical journey got started more than a few years ago.
At just 9 years old, she was bitten by the performing bug. After receiving a karaoke machine for Christmas, she never left home without it. Soon, singing became a crucial component of Taria’s everyday routine.
“I was getting on the school bus with my books in one hand and my little karaoke machine in the other, knowing at 3pm, Mon-Fri, it was showtime! Lol! ? My 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Groves, allowed me to perform for my class at the end of each day,” says Lee.
It wasn’t long before Taria graduated from the classroom to the stages of various clubs, theatres, casinos and fairs across the nation. As a teen, she was performing on The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree next to country music legends Vern “The Voice” Gosdin and Del Reeves. She continued to make a name for herself a few years later as she took the stage of one of Nashville’s most legendary landmarks, The Grand Ole Opry. Something many people only dream of achieving.
As if that wasn’t surreal enough for Taria, she was introduced to Opry audience members by one of her favorite country music singers, Lorrie Morgan. After receiving a standing ovation for her rendition of “I Want To Be A Cowboy’s Sweetheart,” Taria was invited to travel and open live shows for Morgan the following year.
Then, at 19, Taria was sharing the stage with Conway Twitty’s son and grandson, Michael and Tre Twitty, for a tribute show titled “Memories of Conway.” Taking on the role of Loretta Lynn, Taria was singing the duets Twitty and Lynn had together.
Inspired by legends like Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Lady Gaga, George Jones, Garth Brooks and Celine Dion, Taria’s dynamic delivery and electric stage presence have captivated the attention of audience members across the United States.
“I’ve always loved the energy of performing with a live band and making that connection with an audience,” says Lee.
When she’s not on stage, Taria spends her time cooking, gardening, watching HGTV, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and her local food bank, hanging out with family and bargain shopping. In the coming years, she hopes to continue to grow as an artist as she travels and shares her songs with the rest of the world, performs more live shows and creates new music.”
